Serious concerns over air pollution in hyderabad
Somajiguda: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Bharat Vikas Parishad (BKS) in association with Grama Vikas Bharath, Chetana Society, GEO, Council for Green Revolution, Green's Alliance for Conservation of Eastern Ghats, Citizens Against Pollution, We & She and Gandhi Global Family conducted a seminar on 'Air Pollution in Hyderabad –Challenges and Solutions' at Press Club here on Wednesday.
Speakers expressed their views on various kinds of pollution and its affects. They explained, using reports, how extensively the human race is using up all the recourses. They also spoke on how people are contributing to global warming in the name of technology and the solutions to pursue.
K Padmanabhaiah, former Union Home Secretary and Chairman of Administrative Staff College of India, was the chief guest. Dr T Indrasena Reddy was the convener. Environmentalist Prof K Purushotham Reddy, BVP-TS president Chinta Prakash, Sakshi executive editor R Dileep Reddy, Public policy expert Dr D Narsimha Reddy and environmental scientist N Sai Bhaskar were other speakers.
