Shirdi Sai Seva Samithi to organise 101-day yagnam
Chikkadpally: Commemorating 101st year of Shirdi Saibaba attaining samadhi, Shirdi Sai Seva Samithi, Chikkadpally, is organising a 101-day 'Sai Akhanda Nama Samkeerthana Yagnam from October 17 to January 26 on the premises of old Bus Bhavan located at Musheerabad.
This was stated by the chairman of the Samithi, Errabelli Usha Dayakar Rao, here on Tuesday. Shyam Sunder Yadav, A Ramulu, Mallikarjun, U Srinivas, A Venkatesh and others would serve as organizers for the event, she said. Usha Dayakar Rao said that annadanam would be provided to 1,000 to 2,000 devotees daily. Other social service programs would also be conducted as part of the celebrations.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy, Telangana Minister Errabelli Dayakar, local MLA Muta Gopal, former Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy, BJP state president Dr K Lakshman, local corporators and others would participate in the programme, she said. During the celebrations, clothes, footwear and other items of Saibaba would be displayed.
Grandson of noted Sai devotee Mahalsapathi Ashok Nagare would also attend the program, she said. Usha Dayakar urged Sai devotees to attend the program in large numbers and make it successful.
Among those who were present on the occasion included Maganti Kumari Amma, Sathyanarayana, Uppala Srinivas Gupta, Shankar Gupta, Ramesh, Ramu, M Ravinder, Raju, Lakshman Gupta and others.
