Slushy road a major irritant at Malkajgiri

Malkajgiri: The slushy road at SP Nagar in Malkajgiri has become a major irritant for the people passing by. They have to slow down for fear of skidding. Pedestrians, too, are facing the brunt as water splashes on them.

One also finds wires lying on the the pothole-ridden road. The traffic flow slows down very much in the evening hours, especially when there is Monday market on this road. "We are facing major trouble while riding two-wheelers.

Due to the heavy rains in recent times, the road was badly damaged. Many times we took the issue to the notice of the local corporator. Government officials need to respond as a large number of people use the road regularly for the travelling," said Karthik, a local resident.
