South Central Railway gears up to take up track maintenance works

Secunderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) is to plan traffic blocks in advance for track maintenance works and get the optimal output. Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, instructed divisional managers to technically and scientifically resolve issues to make the system foolproof in a review meeting through video conference here on Monday.

The Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of six Divisions including Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded took part in the video conference.

The General Manager reviewed the progress of the registration process of UMID (Unique Medical Identity Card) of the employees and retired employees of the South Central Railway Zone. He advised the DRMs to make arrangements to register the employees / retired employees in the UMID at their offices / loco sheds / hospitals. He also detailed the officers about the latest guidelines from the Railway Board regarding UMID.

John Thomas, Additional General Manger, K V Siva Prasad, Principal Chief Engineer, N Madhusudana Rao, Principal Chief Operations Manager, K Siva Prasad, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, V M Srivastava, Principal Chief Signal & Telecommunications Engineer, Brajendra Kumar, Principal Financial Advisor, N V Ramana Reddy, Principal Chief Personnel Officer and G M Eswara Rao, Principal Chief Security Commissioner were amongst the officials present.
