South Central Railway mounts drive against littering

Secunderabad: The Secunderabad division of South Central Railway zone fined 1,248 persons and realised an amount of Rs 2, 49,600 for impairing cleanliness at railway stations as well as on trains.

In the first quarter of the current financial year from April to June, the personnel apprehended overall 4,012 persons who littered the station as well as trains and levied finds totalling Rs 8,02,400.

South Central Railway has taken up providing clean and hygienic conditions both on trains as well as at stations premises on top priority. In this process, on-board housekeeping services are provided in all the important trains.
