South Central Railway plans to take up works for road over bridges, road under bridges
Secunderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) is planning to take up construction of road-over-bridges (ROBs) and road-under bridges (RUBs). This was stated at a meeting by the SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya.
The principal heads of departments and the Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six divisions-Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded were present at the meeting through a video-conference.
A detailed review of the safety aspects on the zone including minor incidents of unusual happenings like, gate open cases, minor derailments in yards and diesel loco failures. He instructed all the officials to expedite the proposed track related works within the given schedule of time across the zone and ensure punctuality.
The General Manager also reviewed on the status of freight loading and punctuality related issues and told them to be alert and cautious in maintaining the punctuality in running of trains. He also reviewed the status of e-Office, provision of high-speed Wi-Fi at all the stations covered under the zone.
