Splash-2019, summer camp of TMREIS, begins
Nampally: The Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) will impart training under the aegis of Splash-2019 this summer to 1,200 students selected from 204 Telangana Minorities Residential Schools.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, B Shafiullah, the Secretary of TMREIS, informed that the services of coaches from the Sports Authority of Telangana State were being availed for the camps which started on April 12 and would go on till April 26 at various places in the city. "In this summer, the students of the minorities residential institutions will take part in more sports," he added.
Splash-2019, a summer camp of TMREIS, was officially inaugurated by AK Khan, vice-chairman and president of TMREIS at Gymkhana Grounds, Secunderabad, on Friday.
It offers 23 types of games with new additions like table tennis, skating and cricket. "Regress training will be provided to all the students and the talented students will be given long term coaching by the Society so that students will excel and participate in the school level, district level and the state level which will get glory to TMREIS as well as Telangana State.
Apart from football, hockey and volley ball and students will be trained in horse riding, sailing and also shooting. Students who make big in the summer camps will be selected for long term coaching by the Society," added the secretary of TMREIS.
