Stench spreads far as drain overflows

Uppal: The overflow of drainage has become one of the most common problems in the city. The locals have been complaining about the issue to the officials concerned but no action has been taken till now.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Monday, N Sagar, a resident of the area said, "The condition of the drainage system in this area has become worse. The blockage of drainage is causing a lot of inconvenience to the locals of this area.

The drainage was blocked and the water has been continuously overflowing from the manhole. The road is completely filled with the drainage water which is also emitting foul smell. It has become difficult for the locals to take a walk in this road."
