Steps on to curb mosquito menace at Hydernagar

Hydernagar: Following the spread of dengue fever among people because of mosquito sting, local corporator Janaki Rama Raju has initiated steps to check the mosquito menace in the division. He said here on Monday that the slushy places which give scope for the growth of larva have been identified and anti-mosquito steps, like dropping oil balls, were being taken.

The balls effectively kill the larva, cutting out the spread of the menace to a large extend, Raju stated. The corporator advised people to opt for mosquito nets and take other protective measures. Local residents Purnachandar Rao and Prasada Rao, GHMC entomology wing staffers Narsimha and Jahangir were present.
