As a result, a pond of sewerage water has formed on the ITI premises. The overflowing sewage is proving to be a curse for the students, with classrooms getting filled with it and emitting foul smell. The resultant mushrooming of mosquito menace is resulting in students falling sick.
Some students told The Hans India that it was getting difficult for them to attend classes, as sewage stench was all-pervasive and there were chances of them becoming sick. Besides, they faced danger of being bitten by poisonous snakes and dogs which were present in large numbers.
Students, including girls, are gripped by fear following spread of Dengue, Malaria and viral fevers. Sangareddy District BC Vidyarthi Sangham President Balram and students like Mekala Shiva Teja demanded that the district administration and GHMC immediately respond and redress the grievances of the students by blocking the flow of sewage into ITI.
