Stop encroachments on Musi, CPI leaders tell Hyderabad Joint Collector
Amberpet: CPI leaders Shaik Nadeem, Syed Khader Ahmed Ansari and others met the Hyderabad Joint Collector on Monday and submitted a memorandum requesting him to stop encroachments at Amberpet on the Musi riverbed.
Later, speaking to the media, Shaik Nadeem said that they have brought the encroachments on the Musi River bank to the notice of the district officials, but no action was taken to stop the encroachments.
Nadeem said that even Hyderabad City Mayor Bonthu Rammohan Rao, visited the spot and ordered the officials to take action against the culprits, but no action was taken. The issue was also brought to the notice of the local corporator and MLA but there was no response from them, he lamented. He appealed to the officials to take necessary action to stop encroachments as it may result in inundation of the colonies near the river.
