Students participate in Bathukamma fete

Bagh Lingampally: The students of Jahnavi Women's Degree College celebrated Bathukamma festival with pomp and gaiety at Sundaraiah Park here on Monday. Singing the traditional Bathukamma songs, students performed traditional dance around the flower stacks representing Bathukamma.

Speaking on the occasion, college principal A Parameshwar said that the college has been organising Bathukamma celebrations every year to create awareness about the Telangana culture among students.

Every year, students participate in the celebrations with a lot of enthusiasm, he said. College vice chairman Lakshmi, admin Ravi Kumar, staff members Gouri, Sravanthi and students participated in the celebrations.
