Suicides can never be solution to problems

Baghlingampally: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism, Culture and Youth Advancement, M Srinivasa Rao said that human life is priceless and suicides can never address any solution. He was speaking at an awareness programme organised by Avanthi Degree & PG College at Sundariah Vignana Kendram here on Sunday.

Addressing the students, the minister said that he was pained by the recent suicide incidents by Intermediate students who failed in exams. He said that although reputed personalities such as Einstein and Ambani were poor in studies, they became role models to many. He urged the students to emulate such people and never get bogged down by failures.

The minister said he started as an educationist but entered politics to serve people. Thanking AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for giving him yet another opportunity to serve people, he said that he would continue to strive for welfare of people. The fee reimbursement scheme introduced by the then Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had benefitted several students, he said. The minister hoped that both Telugu states would maintain cordial relations and continue to progress.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chairman of Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Prof R Limbadri, urged students not to get limited only to exams but study to realize their goals and aspirations. Later, meritorious students who excelled in various departments were presented prizes. Prominent among those who attended the programme were former Chairman of CMA Hyderabad Chapter Chandrashekhar Rajanala, educationist B Shiva Prasad, representative of Infosys Prachi Swamy, Avanti Group general secretary Dr M Priyanka, HR director Dr Y Jayaprada, Principal Prof Pochanna, Dr D Venkat Rao and others.
