Swachh drive held at Necklace Road

Necklace Road: Babul NGO members participated in Swachh drive on Thursday at the approach road, MMTS Station, Necklace Road. They collected about 250 kg of plastic and other items. Plastic waste is packed in green bags and other waste materials in black bags.

Raj Kanwar, the CEO of Godrej-Jersey, launched the drive as part of Godrej Global Volunteer Day. Varun of Godrej-Jersey and Dolly Jain of ConnectFor gave orientation to the volunteers. Dr Bhargava Narayana, AMOH of GHMC, guided the programme, while Gangadhar Panday, president of Babul NGO, supervised the cleaning operations.

The volunteers administered the 'Say No To Plastic' pledge to the MMTS passengers and distributed cloth bags. Drinking water was dispensed to participants in an eco-friendly way using stainless steel instead of plastic.
