Table soccer national championship held
Malakpet: Students from different states like Punjab, Maharashtra, Haryana, Chandigarh, besides Telangana, took part in the 3rd National Level Table Soccer Tournaments held in the city. Boys and girls from Classes 6 to 9 under different categories took part in the two day event held on October 19 and 20, said Sports Director of Integral Group of Schools, Syed Abrar Hussain on Tuesday.
The school's Malakpet branch which hosted the event in association with the 'Eagle Table Soccer' (Punjab) for the first time in the city termed this as the prestigious national championship to be held in part of Old City. "This was a golden opportunity for the Pearl City to take part in national championship. Hyderabad has played host to players from all across India for the most coveted Table Soccer Championship, in which more than 51 participants took part," informed the organisers.
Tournament was conducted in the categories of U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 singles and doubles and open and mixed doubles. Students showcased rtheir vibrant diligence by winning 15 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in the tournament of table soccer.
Winners of the tournament were exhilarated while receiving the medals by the honorable dignitaries. "Our international table soccer champion Master Zakir Ali Khan of Integral Foundation School (Tolichowki) was certainly showing his consistence achievement throughout the tournament. Best female player Fareeha Ahmed from Telangana, IFS (Tolichowki) and best male player Sehejdeep singh from Punjab were terrific and vivacious in their attainment," said Abrar.
Coach Syed Muzzamil and varied other coaches were gratified with the consistence feat of the students. The winners of the tournament were conferred on October 20 with medals and appreciation certificates. "Our school set the bar higher evidently by organizing the 3rd National level table soccer tournament," said the CEO of Integral Group of schools, Mansoor Ahmed Kaleem.
Dr Khalid Mubashir Zafar (Chairman of Integral Group of School), with Group Director's team Laeeq Ahmed Khan, Shaik Azmath, Abul Ala, Shaima Mansoor, Syeda Khatija and Khadeer, principal (TMRIES) witnessed the tournament. The tournament continued with inspiring words of all the dignitaries for the participants.
