TDP cadres gear up for NTR Jayanti fete
Musheerabad: The leaders of TDP Hyderabad met on Wednesday at party office in Domalguda and gave a call to the activists to conduct the 96th birthday celebrations of TDP founder NT Rama Rao on May 28 in villages, mandals and divisions across the state.
Addressing the meeting, P Saibaba and B Kishore said that NTR jayanthi seva programmes would be taken up after unfurling the TDP flag and paying floral tributes to the former Chief Minister. The leaders alleged that although the Assembly elections were held five months ago, the TRS government has stopped public welfare schemes, including the dole for the unemployed.
They criticised that the programmes under Kalyana Lakshmi, besides the double bedroom houses, are not being implemented. The meeting resolved to organise dharnas in the first week of June at the Collectorates, mandal offices and constituencies to protest against non-implementation of welfare schemes.
