TDP leaders slam govt over RTC strike

Tank Bund: TDP leaders of Greater Hyderabad Saibaba and Nallela Kishore condemned the lack of response from the State government even though the RTC employees have been on strike for the past 38 days.

Protesting against the hostile attitude of Telangana government towards striking employees, TDP leaders staged protest here at Dr BR Ambedkar's statue on Monday. As a mark of protest, they submitted a memorandum to the statue of Ambedkar.

Speaking to media during their protest, TDP leaders condemned the lathicharge and release of tear gas on protestors, who were only protesting peacefully, by the state police at Tank Bund.

The leaders said that they submitted a memorandum to Ambedkar wishing that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who has been adopting anti-democratic methods, learns his lessons. They demanded that the State government realise its folly and come forward to hold talks with the striking employees.

TDP leaders Balraj Goud, Ravindra Chary, Nagesh, Krishna Pujari, TNSF Greater Hyderabad president Syed Hussain, Raja Choudhary, Ramulu, Jagadish Goud, Babu, Yadagiri and others participated in the protest.
