Teachers extend support to RTC strike
Bagh Lingamapally: Teacher Associations' JAC announced its support to striking RTC employees at a round table conference held here at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by 19 teacher union leaders, representatives of people's associations, RTC JAC leaders and political leaders. Sadananda Gouda presided the meeting.
Teacher association leaders condemned the government's adamant attitude towards striking RTC employees. Leaders alleged that the government was trying to destroy the RTC employees' cooperative society and demanded a case be filed against the CM KCR for misusing PF amounts of RTC employees.
They demanded an investigation into the issues raised by RTC employees in the memorandum submitted to the State Governor. They alleged that the State government had deliberately not released the report submitted by the committee formed to recommend measures to strengthen RTC as it was in favour of employees.
Prominent leaders among who visited the meeting include Professor Kodandaram, BC leaders R Krishnaiah, Jajula Srinivas Goud, Congress leader Addanki Dayakar, CPI leader Dr Sudhakar, RTC JAC leaders Raji Reddy, VS Rao, Thomas Reddy and others.
