TEDxHyd 2019 draws to a close on a grand note

Madhapur: TEDxHyderabad concluded its fifth successful edition on Sunday, featuring 15 inspirational speakers from varying walks of life, ranging from sports, arts, entrepreneurship, governance, education, science etc. The event was attended by over 2,500 members and widely followed online and on social media sites.

The speakers included Padma Shri Rachel Thomas, Padma Shri Chintakindi Mallesham and Raj Rachakonda, the man who told his story in the biopic Mallesham, Sudhanshu Mani, the man behind Vande Bharat Express, Neha Aggarwal, India's ace table-tennis Player, IPS officer Dr R S Praveen Kumar and IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan, to name a few.

Each speaker presented their unique interpretation of the theme 'Limitless' to illustrate their personal journeys of overcoming the limitations of their own minds. Established with the single-minded mission to build a community of Thinkers, Enablers and Doers within Hyderabad, TEDxHyderabad aims to achieve a broader social impact and build the impetus for greater and wider civic involvement and mindfulness.

TEDxHyderabad is organised by Society for Advancement of Human Endeavour (SAHE) which works towards civic engagement and empowerment. At the 5th edition of TEDxHyderabad, SAHE announced the launch of 'Hyderabad Cares,' an initiative in collaboration with the Government of Telangana for the support of vulnerable groups in the city of Hyderabad.

"We will be introducing several programs under this initiative that will bring NGO's, Government bodies, corporates and citizens of Hyderabad together. Through this initiative, we want to spread the message that Hyderabad truly cares for its people," said Viiveck Verma, Curator and Licensee of TEDxHyderabad on the conclusion of the event.

"TEDxHyderabad is not just an event, but an experience. We will continue to work with entrepreneurs and innovators from the rural parts of Hyderabad to let them showcase their innovation. We are happy to bring together more and more unsung heroes to share their inspiring stories with you," said Dr Anthony Vipin Das, co-organizer of TEDxHyderabad.

TEDxHyderabad 2019 also hosted Experience zones enabling attendees to network and interact socially in a lighter ambience. This years' experience zone featured rural innovations by Palle Srujana, a voluntary organization for aiding and promoting creativity at grassroots level in the States of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. It also showcased artefacts created using handful of domestic junk, e-waste by 8Mango.com.
