Telangana BC leaders lay sieze to Board of Intermediate Education
Nampally: BC leaders laid seize to the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) office located here, condemning irregularities in Inter results which resulted in suicides of 12 intermediate students so far. During their protest, the students gave slogans demanding the immediate suspension of board officials and board secretary Ashok Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, BC leader Gujja Krishna condemned the irregularities in Inter results and held the board officials responsible for the suicides of students. Due to the irregularities, lakhs of students had to undergo severe mental stress, he added. He questioned how a student who secured 90 per cent in the first can get zero marks in the same subject in second year.
How can BIE publish the results even without a proper reverification, he wondered? He demanded the Inter Board to revaluate all the answer sheets, without wasting time on reverification and recounting of papers. Gujja Krishna alleged that private corporate colleges have spent crores of rupees to control the Inter Board and the state government.
He questioned the state government over the handing of valuation to a private agency. He demanded the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to intervene in the matter and do justice to the students. Among those who participated in the protest including BC leaders Neela Venkatesh, G Andi, Nandagopal, Vemula Ramakrishna and others.
