Telangana culture will be globalised, vows American Telangana Association

Khairatabad: American Telangana Association (ATA) conducted its first board meeting for 2019 at Sheraton Hotel in Novi (suburbs of Detroit), MI, on May 4, 2019. Some 20 to 25 important agenda items were discussed and some key decisions were made. The ATA elected a new president, EC Team and 27 new board members.

Vinod Kukunoor took oath as president of the ATA and explained his vision to take the organisation to the next level and help the community at large. Vinod Kumar Kukunoor conducted a meeting here on Tuesday, explaining their activities during the last two years and the future programmes which they would be conducting.

Addressing the gathering, Vinod Kumar said, "ATA has conducted many welfare programmes both abroad and in Hyderabad. It always took a forward step in every situation when Telugu people are in trouble."

Furthermore, he said, "We are raising funds and helping the poor in different areas of the Telangana State. In future also, the ATA is going to come with some innovative ideas which will be very helpful for the need, youth, women and farmers. We are working very hard to establish the culture of Telangana all over the world."

The ATA-Telangana Vision for the next two years and a blueprint for the next five years are to continue to promote Telangana culture, art forms, Telangana festivals like Bathukamma, Bonalu and State Formation Day. ATA is also coming up with a series of innovative approaches to solve unemployment issues in the State.

Vinod said the association would focus on cancer awareness programmes also. "We will also assist the students with immigration issues and plans have been chalked out to launch a dedicated website to help students coming to US from the two Telugu States," he added.

Cultural Advisor of ATA Padmaja Reddy said, "It's always great to work with ATA family and I am honored to be a part of it." Rama Chandra Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
