Telangana govt. issues orders on salary hike of sanitation staff, relief in property tax

Telangana government on Sunday issued the orders hiking the salaries of GHMC sanitation workers and 50 per cent relief in the property tax for those in GHMC limits who pay up to Rs 15,000 in 2020-21 in the financial year.

The government enhanced the salaries to GHMC's sanitation staff from Rs 14,500 to Rs 17,500.

And with the relief in the property tax payment, more than 13 lakh property owners will be benefitted in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits. In other municipalities in Telangana, owners are permitted to pay 50 per cent of the property tax and this will be applicable to those who pay up to Rs 10,000 annual property tax.

The owners in GHMC limits who have already paid the tax, the 50 per cent relief will be adjusted in the next financial year.
