The Seventh Economic Survey is being taken up across the country by the Centre in association with CSC. In Telangana, TITA-Digithon is working on this project in collaboration with CSC. There are about 1,112 urban units including 573 units in greater Hyderabad. Each unit may require 10 enumerators, which means that almost 6,000 enumerators would be required in Hyderabad alone. Interested candidates have to provide their details and write an examination to get selected. Those selected would get certificates and ID cards and may get an opportunity to work in survey works in future.

Speaking on the occasion, Hema Syamala said she was happy to start the Centre's Economic Survey work from her area. She requested everyone to give their details and participate in the survey. CSC vice-president Raja Kishore said that it was ascertained that TITA could take up this work across the State with expertise, hence the collaboration. He said that many other IT projects would be taken up in association with TITA in future. (NSS)
