Telangana Pindi Vantalu stall at Haritha restaurant
Hyderabad: In order to encourage Telangana Pindi Vantakalu (Cuisine made from flour), Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Panyala Bhoopathi Reddy on Thursday inaugurated Telangana Pindi Vantakalu exclusive stall at Haritha Restaurant near Tank Bund.
After inaugurating the Nacharam's Sridevi Swagruha Foods Telangana Pindi Vantakalu stall, Panyala Bhoopathi Reddy told media persons that people are so busy in their work that they almost forgot about the 'Telangana Vantakalu' and are not preparing them at their homes now, as it used to be in the past. He said that with a view to bringing back the Telangana Vantakalu into the mainstream and also provide employment, such stalls were being opened.
"Our government is encouraging Telangana festivals and food items and not only in the state, but abroad also. People who stay abroad are carrying Pindi Vantakalu parcels and it's good for health also," Panyala Bhoopathi Reddy said. "People who could not able to prepare these kinds of food items can get them at this stall. People are suffering from various diseases due to the modern food, so these Pindi Vantakalu are good for their health," he added.
B Manohar, Managing Director, TSTDC, Dr M Surandar, Officer on Special Duty (Administration), D Venu, Officer on Special Duty (Operations), and other staff were present at the inaugural function.
