Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation says spurring industrial growth

Saifabad: The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation chairman, Bala Mallu, said that the corporation allocated land to 1,235 companies in the last three years from 2016 to 2019. He was speaking to media here on the three-year progress report of TSIIC.

Speaking at the press conference, Bala Mallu said that 185 companies started their operations and about 1.25 lakh people got direct employment and 80,000 people were benefitted indirectly. 120 SC and 65 ST industrialists received subsidy worth Rs 8 crore for purchasing land, he said.

After the formation of Telangana State, 59 industrial parks were established for 14 different sectors which were identified as suitable for the State. The State government has identified 49,000 acres for land allocation for establishing industrial parks, he said.

BalaMallu said that TSIIC has spent Rs 1825.25 crore in last three years for creating basic facilities at the industrial parks. Of the 11,000 industries which received permissions, 8,400 companies started their operations and released their products, providing direct employment to 12 lakh people, he said.
