Thousands offer prayers for Jumma-tul-vida

Charminar: Thousands of devotees offered prayers at historic Mecca Masjid on the last Friday of Ramzan. Police and other departments ensured that the occasion passes without any hitches.

Later, Jalsa-e-Youmul Quran was addressed by the Hyderabad Member of Parliament (MP) Asaduddin Owaisi on Jumma-tul-vida (last Friday) at Mecca Masjid near Charminar. Addressing the religious gathering Asaduddin Owaisi highlighted the importance of religious teachings, which emphasize on fasting.

It is more than just being without food and water, as it ordains individuals to self control from all kinds of ills and to overwhelming passions, he said, and requested the Muslims gathered for Friday prayers, especially youngsters, to continue the trend of offering prayers five times a day and not to indulge in any bad vices after the completion of Ramzan.
