Tight security at Central prison

Charlapally: The police, led by Kushaiguda CI Chandrashekar, are providing heavy and tight security at the Central prison where the four accused involved in the Disha gang rape-and-murder case are lodged. The security measures have been taken in anticipation of protests by students and women's organisations and to prevent any untoward incident.

The police on Monday appealed to people not believe rumours of any protests by women's organisations. They stated that a peaceful situation was prevailing around the prison amid tight security. They also stated that there was no permission for holding any protest/demonstration near the prison, while appealing for people's cooperation.
