TMREIS signs MoU with IIT-Hyderabad
Nampally: The Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institution Society (TMREIS) on Tuesday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Technology – Hyderabad (IIT-H), which would help in the development of curriculum and teaching. For futuristic education at TMREIS, this cooperation would help in the establishment of advanced laboratories for Artificial Intelligence and for conducting faculty development programmes.
The signing of the MoU took place at IIT-Hyderabad campus in Kandi, Sangareddy. The TMRIES hopes that this MoU helps in achieving excellence and high-quality standards in academic programmes, TMREIS Secretary B Shafiullah said.
The pact will allow IIT-Hyderabad to provide mentorship to the students of TMREIS and enhance academic interest between IITH & TMREIS. It will also provide advice for implementation of quality education and in the establishment of Atal Tinkering Lab at TMREIS and promote research and to continue education activities between institutions. (Atal Tinkering Labs are workspaces in the schools where the students of classes VI to XII can acquire innovative skills through hands-on learning. The Niti Aayog envisions nourishing one million students as innovators in the future).
Shafiullah said that the collaboration would improve the quality of teaching staff at TMREIS through short-term and long-term certificate courses at IIT - Hyderabad. In this connection, the faculty of IIT- Hyderabad will also visit TMREIS institutions to provide necessary guidance and academic interaction by delivering special lectures on topics of relevance to modern education.
"It will also help gaining the necessary advice in organising workshops, conferences and personality development programmes of IIT-Hyderabad for the enhancement of skills in respect to faculty, staff and students of TMREIS. The TMREIS will have all necessary support for the establishment of Atal Tinkering Lab, video satellite link and assistance in development of E-class rooms, lab, curriculum, training and library at TMREIS," he added.
