Traffic police lists accident-prone spots

Hyderabad: Traffic police of Hyderabad have initiated measures to identify accident-prone areas as black spots and take measures to prevent accidents. Police officials have identified 50 such black spots through a survey done recently.

The zone-wise black spots were listed and the accidents occurred at the spots from last June were reviewed. Police are now focusing on the measures to be taken to prevent accidents at black spots after analysing the past accidents.

In the east zone, traffic police have identified black spots at the following areas: Amberpet T junction to Gandhi statue – 18 accidents; Musaram crossroads to Malakpet PS- Reliannce Trends – 10 accidents; Fever Hospital nala to Shankarmatt – Narayana IIT campus – 9 accidents; Nalgonda crossroads to Malakpet Gunj – 9 accidents; CCMB Habsiguda to ICICI Bank- 8 accidents; and Tarnaka crossroads to Railway degree college – 8 accidents.
