Traffic snarls at Neredmet, commuters badly hit

Neredmet: The condition of traffic near the Neredmet bus stop has become worse. There are no proper traffic police officials to look after this area.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, K Ravi, owner of Arthi kirana and general stores said, "This has been an issue for the past many days. There is an enormous amount of traffic during the mornings when the college starts and then in the afternoon.

There is a lot of unnecessary noise pollution that is caused because of the motorists and specially the bus drivers. The college students are always seen running on the roads which could be dangerous." Sudha S, a commuter said, "There is a massive rush in this area to catch their buses.

There have been incidents where people start fighting to get inside the bus. Moreover, this bus stop is filled with college going students who literally hang near the end of the bus doors. These students also sit on the dividers and once the bus comes they just rush to catch it, without seeing if there is another vehicle is coming there or not."
