TS Govt asked to address issues of TSRTC staff
Secunderabad: General secretary of Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU) Ashwathama Reddy has demanded that the state government merge TRSTC in government at the earliest and address RTC employees' various issues. He was speaking at the two-day relay hunger strike organised by TMU. TMU executive president Thomas Reddy was present.
The TMU general secretary demanded implementation of PRC which had been due since April 2017. He also demanded job security to conductors and drivers working in RTC. The government was urged to fill all vacant posts and provide better medical facilities at Tarnaka RTC hospital.
The union submitted a memorandum with 24 demands which include payment of CCS, PF and SRBS dues to employees, provision of better facilities to women employees and purchase of new buses.
Relay hunger strikes are being conducted to pressure the management to address various issues of RTC employees mentioned in the memorandum. The hunger strikes are being conducted across the state at all bus depots, he said.
Union leaders BV Reddy, L Maraiah, Somaiah, Rajalingam, VS Reddy, Venkatesh, Kamalakar Goud, Usha, Padma, Malathi and others participated in the hunger strike.
