TS Govt school in dark for past 6 months

Qutbullapur: Students and teachers of Angadipet government school, located in 132 Jeedimetla division, is facing a lot of difficulties as the electricity connection to the school has been disconnected six months ago.

As per details, the electricity connection to the school was removed by the electricity department as the school has power dues to the tune of Rs 1,02,699 and the pending bills have not been released by the government. This is the sorry state of affairs in government schools in "Golden Telangana". Many schools in the state have gone dark due to the government apathy.

When THI contacted the school headmaster on the issue, he said the government has not paid electricity bills for the last five years and electricity department has removed the connection to the school. It is learnt that the electricity bills of some schools have not been paid for the last ten years the electricity department has been disconnecting the schools due to pending dues of late.
