TS Govt should take over aided colleges: MLC Alugubelli Narsi Reddy
Baghlingampally: MLC Alugubelli Narsi Reddy has demanded that the State government take over the aided colleges in the state. He was speaking at a state-level conference organized by 'Aided colleges temporary staff association' to discuss the issues of employees in aided college at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Narsi Reddy said that government has to protect its aided colleges from being shut down. He urged the State government to take steps and ensure that the employees of aided colleges get their salaries from the government, rather than from private managements and cancel GO 35.
Recalling how seven colleges in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh flourished, Narsi Reddy expressed his unhappiness over the current state of affairs in the aided colleges in the State. He felt that the families of the aided college staff, student unions and parents need to stage a united fight to address the issues of aided college staff. He extended his full support to the staff in resolving their issues.
The association's advisor Nalla Radhakrishna, organizing secretary Shankar, general secretary Dr M Vijaya Lalitha, vice- president Dr Ramesh, state leaders of the association and others were present on the occasion.
