TS Gurukuls a role model for country, says TS Minorities Commission VC
Bagh Lingampally: Vice Chairman at TS Minorities Commission B Shankar Luke has said that the Gurukul school system introduced by Telangana government became a role model for the rest of the nation.
He was speaking at Teachers' day programme organised by Minority Commission at Minority Girls' Gurukul School at Bagh Lingampally on Thursday. Musheerabad MLA Muta Gopal attended the programme as the chief guest, along with MLC Stephenson and local Corporator V Srinivas Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, Luke said that nowhere in the world teachers, who provide knowledge and wisdom to students, are felicitated as in India. It is teachers who teach students how to clear the hurdles that come in their way towards success, he said.
Explaining about the various initiatives of the state government in providing quality education to all the sections of the society, Luke lauded the Gurukul school system and urged other states to emulate Telangana in providing quality education.
He advised the students of Gurukul schools to make best use of the opportunity provided by the state government and to bring a good name and fame to their parents, society and teachers.
Hyderabad District Minority Welfare officer Mohammad Khasim, regional coordinator of Telangana Minority Residential Schools Professor Jagadish, school principal Shailaja, teaching and non-teaching staff of the school, local TRS leaders MutaJaisimha, Prakash Reddy, Muchakurthi Prabhakar, R Mallesh, Kondamaduku Madhu and others attended the programme.
