TSRTC conductors demand job security
Musheerabad: TSRTC conductors of different unions met at VST Hall here on Tuesday and formed united federation of Telangana RTC conductors. Later, they held a meeting to discuss their problems and ways to address them.
Prominent leaders of various unions Raji Reddy, Abraham SW, Kamalakar Goud, Srinivas Rao, Hari Kishan, Kathula Yadaiah, former MLC K Nageshwar, president of TRSKV Rambabu Yadav and others attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders of the newly formed federation demanded that the management and government ensure full job security to conductors. Passengers should be held responsible for not taking tickets and not conductors, like in airlines and railways, the conductor federation leaders said. They demanded that the management abolish 1,963 conductor regularisation norms and formulate new regulations.
Expressing concerns over holding conductors responsible for mistakes of passengers, the leaders demanded that the management stop taking severe actions against them such as suspensions, cuts in increments and removals. The leaders said that the federation was established to fight against injustice being done to conductors and it would not favour or oppose any union.
Chairman of the federation RG Tejavathi, president K Anand Reddy, working president Suresh Yadav, general secretary Ravi Kumar, secretary TV Krishna, Anil, Chandu, MD Khaja, Ravi Kumar, Yadaiah and others participated in the meeting.
