TSRTC unions vow to continue strike
Bagh Lingampally: On Monday, various RTC unions conducted meetings independently to review the current situation at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram. Speaking at a press conference organised after their meetings, RTC JAC president Ashwathama Reddy and co-convener Raji Reddy stated that various unions had decided not to withdraw from the strike with utmost confidence.
Of the 11 RTC employees who joined duties on Sunday, five came back to join the strike, Aswathama said. Demanding that the State government call RTC JAC leaders for talks, he said that the issues could be resolved only through talks. He said that employees were not ready to join duties unconditionally. The JAC was ready to withdraw the strike, provided the government calls JAC for talks, he said.
Ashwathama said that RTC JAC would hold discussions with various political parties on Tuesday and would form human chains in front of all depots on the same day. He refuted the charge that the strike was influenced by the opposition parties. RTC JAC has no relation with political parties, he added. He demanded that the State government intervene in the matter and call JAC for discussions.
