Two held for PDS kerosene diversion

Patancheru: Residents of Rameswaram Weaker Sections Colony on Tuesday caught two youngsters working in SVR Engineering Company while they were allegedly transporting 50 litres of kerosene after purchasing it from a local dealer.

The duo was handed over to the Civil Supplies department officials for allegedly trying to sell kerosene meant for supply to the poor in the black-market. Tahsildar in Sangareddy District Supply Office Basavayya reached the spot.

He confiscated the kerosene and a two-wheeler used by the duo to carry the containers. The DSO stated that a case would be registered against the kerosene dealer Ramu Goud.
