University of Hyderabad scholar gets into Assam civil service
Hyderabad: Bruhid Rabha, pursuing PhD at the School of Economics at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been selected for Assam Civil Service (ACS). His merit rankstands at 48 among a total of 135 successful civil service candidates in Assam.
Currently, with UGC fellowship, he has been writing his thesis on thesocio-economic and environmental impact of natural rubber plantation withspecial reference to Assam's Economy under the supervision of Professor Phanindra Goyari of School of Economics, UoH.
Rabha obtained his BA Economic (Major) degree from Cotton University (Guwahati) in 2012 and MA Economics from the University of Hyderabad in 2016. He obtained his MPhil degree in Economics in 2016 under the supervision of Prof Goyari.
He attended and presented many research papers innational and international conferences. He hails from a remote village of Bathan Para in Goalparadistrict of Assam. Currently, his family is dependent on agricultural farming. He says he is looking forward to contributing for the welfare and overall development of the society.
