Use clay idols during Ganesh fete: Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam

Vikarabad: District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam said everyone should use clay idols of Ganesh for celebration of Vinayaka Chathurthi.

She conducted a meeting with managements of private educational institutions and concerned officials, here at conference hall on Tuesday. The Collector directed them to take up the campaign to promote clay idols by involving women self-help groups and parents of students.

She told the officials to make the clay idols available in different places. She said door delivery facility of the clay idols was also available and a control room has been set up at BC welfare office.

District BC welfare officer Pushpalatha, DEO Renukadevi, youth welfare officer Hanumantha Rao, Nodal officer of Intermediate education Shankar Naik were also present.
