V Hanmanth Rao slams KCR's apathy for student suicides
Musheerabad: Congress leader and former MP V Hanmanth Rao said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy were responsible for the students' suicides and criminal cases should be filed against them for negligence. He was speaking a round table conference on 'Slavery of Bahujans' held at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Hanmanth Rao said that it was unfortunate that architect of the constitution was insulted in the new state which was formed because of constitutional rights provided by the same person enabling the formation of smaller states.
Had he been PCC chairman when such incident occurred, the state would have been on fire, he said inferring that the present Congress had failed to raise the issue. He condemned the way the inexperienced private agency was assigned the job of conducting Inter exams just because it belongs to a relative of KTR.
Lambasting Congress party, he said Congress failed to respond properly to Inter fiasco, Ambedkar statue desecration and other issues. He lamented that BCs have become slaves of upper caste rulers and have been limited to function as mere voting machines for upper castes. He expressed his anguish on increasing role of money in elections and felt that there was a need to awaken rural voters in this regard.
