Visually impaired Civils selectees felicitated
Serilingampally: Despite being visually challenged, Neelam Lalitha, Aditya, Chaitanya Reddy and K Simhachalam have been selected to IAS. These candidates and Dr Satish Reddy, Gungala Raghavendra Reddy, Dr Kiranmayi, besides Sampath Kumar and Anji Babu, who got selected as assistant commandants in CRPF, were jointly felicitated by the Kakatiya Seva Samithi and Deeksha Academy.
Durga Prasad, the former Director-General of CRPF, attended the programme as the chief guest. Among those present were local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, who is also the Samithi president, Sankalpa Samithi organisation founder and retired IAS officer Dr Umamaheswara Rao, Deeksha Academy president and retired IPS officer Umapathi and TRC Bose, retired APSEB officer.
The officials, while complimenting the candidates selected to the Civils, expressed happiness over the felicitation. They said the Civil Service jobs offered high positions that bring name and fame and provides an opportunity to serve society as also the country. The speakers advised the candidates to act with discipline, relentless efforts, honesty and dedication to do well in their efforts and earn a good name for themselves besides their parents and also the country.
The successful candidates shared their experiences and gave advice to those interested in pursuing Civils exam on the topics to be chosen and how to ace the exam system.
Those present included the students being coached for the Civils, their parents and Kakatiya Seva Samithi vice-president Dasari Rajendra Prasad, Treasurer RV Subba Rao, General Secretary C S Das, Secretary of Samanvaya Samithi Adusumilli Venkateswara Rao.
