Water tubs put up for birds at University of Hyderabad

Gachibowli: The University of Hyderabad (UoH), with the help of Horticulture Department, arranged 10 permanent cement water tubs for the wildlife. The University of Hyderabad is habitat for 200 plus species of birds, various mammals and reptiles.

Lakes and smaller ponds are drying up due to scorching summer. In 2016, tubs were arranged by Wild Lens. Later, the university administration arranged 10 more permanent tubs in the same year. Computer Science department students & faculty arranged 8 tubs recently.
