When celebrities walked ramp to back noble cause
Hyderabad: Actors from across the country walked the ramp in support of Teach For Change to invite volunteer applications for the upcoming academic year. Designer Varun Chakkilam presented his collection Marine Serenade and Jewellery was showcased by Hiya Jewellers.
Teach For Change is a nationwide movement to improve literacy and life skills among primary school children studying in government schools. The movement works in collaboration with state governments to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children and support them with relevant life skills. The Teach For Change movement is aimed towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 4-Quality Education).
As part of the movement, committed citizens contribute their time and volunteer to teach children in their neighbourhood government school. The Teach For Change literacy program is a three year intervention for primary school children studying in Grade 3 - Grade 5. Teach For Change Trust is Founded by Actor Lakshmi Manchu and Activist Chaitanya MRSK. Philanthropist Pinky Reddy and Internationally renowned Tennis Player Sania Mirza graced the event as the Chief Guests
The fundraiser organised annually by Teach For Change brings together celebrities and members of parliament from across the country to highlight the need of quality education in government schools. This year's event saw the presence of Actors Huma Qureshi, Rakul Preet Singh, Regina Cassandra, Rhea Chakraborthy, Mehreen Pirzada, Nidhi Agarwal, Nabha Natesh, Megha Akash, Seerat Kapoor, Ritika Singh, Pragya Jaiswal, Hebah Patel, Sandhya Raju, Surbhi Puranik, Sundeep Kishan, Navdeep, Harshwardhan Rane, Adivi Sesh.
Teach For Change 2019 campaigns for volunteer applications for the new academic year was launched by Pinky Reddy, Sania Mirza, Huma Qureshi, Lakshmi Manchu, Suman Reddy, MD, Pega Systems, and Chaitanya MRSK, co - founder & CEO of Teach For Change.
