Widespread spells of rain witnessed
Siddipet: As the Southwest Monsoon has been Vigorous over Telangana rain occurred in Siddipet, Medchal- Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Vikarabad districts, among others, during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.
According to the Met department bulletin, there was 4 cm rainfall each in Nanganur (Siddipet), Hakimpet IAF Centre (Medchal- Malkajgiri), Shadnagar (Ranga Reddy), Gajwel (Siddipet) and three cm each in Medak, Hyderabad Airport, Doma (Vikarabad), Kondapak (Siddipet), Kondurg (RR), Kodangal (Vikarabad), Serilingampally(RR) and Parigi (Vikarabad).
There was 2 cm rain each in Shamirpet, Saroornagar, Chegunta, Bomraspeta, Saroornagar, Chegunta, Vikarabad, Sadasivpet, Mirdoddi, Medchal, Ramayampet, Sangareddy, Wargal, Mominpet and Peddemul.
The bulletin warned of heavy rain was very likely to occur on September 19 at isolated places in all Telangana districts. It said the upper air cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra coast lies over the west- central and adjoining south-west Bay off south Andhra coast.
Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop over the west- central Bay and the adjoining areas of coastal Andhra during next 12 hours. An east west trough at mean sea level runs from Saurashtra to east-central Bay across Telangana and west central Bay.
