Winter worries to persist for Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The City is in for chilly weather on December 3 and 4 if the forecast by IMD is any indication. The night temperatures during December 3 and 8 are likely to be 15,15, 16,16, 15 and 15 respectively, with the forecast of partly cloudy sky with haze.

According to the IMD bulletin, there was a marked fall by -4.1 degrees Celsius in the night temperatures at one or two places in the state during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

The bulletin said the temperatures fell appreciably ranging from -2.1 to -4 degrees Celsius at one or two places. They were above normal by 1.6 to 3 deg C in some parts. The lowest minimum of 12.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Adilabad, two degrees less than the previous day. Hyderabad registered 15.1 Deg C, also two degrees less than that on Tuesday. The other temperatures recorded elsewhere in the State were: Medak 14.8, Dundigal 14.9, Hyderabad 15.1, Bhadrachalam 16, Hakimpet 16.2, Hanamkonda, Nizamabad & Ramagundam all 16.5, Mahbubnagar 19, Nalgonda 19.4, Khammam 20.

Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation lies over Malay Peninsula, extending up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level. Under its influence a low pressure area is likely to form over the south Andaman Sea and its neighbourhood around December 4.
