World Women's Day and Beti Bachao fete held

Rangareddy: Under the aegis of Women, Children, Disabled and Senior Citizen Department, International Women's Day and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) programmes were organised at Bommadi Lalitha function hall in Vanasthalipuram on Thursday. Baby shower, Annaprasana and birthday celebrations were organised under the aegis of district welfare officer Sakkubhai.

Speaking on the occasion, Sakkubhai said that the aim of BBBP was to increase gender (girl child) ratio and improve opportunities for women by empowering them. Cash incentives and certificate of appreciation were handed over to employees for their service.

District legal service authority secretary Vijay Kumar, Crime DCP Salma, CWC chairperson Padmavati, medical officer Archana, CPDOs, supervisors, Anganwadi teachers, and others were present.
