Khammam: Congress rally evokes huge response

Khammam: Congress' rally evoked good response from farmers in Khammam as thousands of farmers participated in the rally and expressed anger against the Central government's laws and State government's failures in rescuing them. Addressing the participants of the rally, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao were implementing anti-farmer policies and suppressing them in all aspects. Now agriculture sector is in a dangerous situation due to the decisions taken by both Union and State governments.

When Congress was in power, it always used to think about farmers' welfare but the BJP at the Centre and the TRS in the State were throwing farmers' lives into danger, he alleged. 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trying to put agriculture in Gujarat traders' hands and trying to dilute the present agriculture laws.' Mallu Bhatti criticised that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao bent his head before the Prime Minister to escape fraud cases. Congress leader P Durga Prasad, former MLC Potla Nageswara Rao, left party leaders Potu Prasad, Nunna Nageswara Rao, town congress leaders MD Javeed and Nagandla Deepak Chowdary and others participated in the rally.
