Create awareness about Covid vaccination: Khammam Collector RV Karnan
Khammam: Create awareness among the people on Covid-19 vaccination, District Collector RV Karnan asked all the officials at a coordination meeting for conducting dry run on Covid vaccination programme in the district, here on Thursday. ZP Chairman L Kamal Raj and Mayor Dr Papalal were present at the meeting.
The Collector informed that the dry run will be conducted on Friday at 35 centres across the district. Stating that vaccination programme would be conducted in three phases, he told the officials to plan the programme and make all arrangements. The first phase will be conducted for private, government health care workers and ICDS staff; second phase will be for frontline warriors, police, RPF and sanitation staff; and third phase will be conducted for senior citizens, he explained.
Karnan said the officials have identified 11,200 people to be vaccinated in the first phase. He asked them to follow rules and setup waiting room, vaccination room, observation room and arrange 108 and 104 vehicles at the centres. The Collector appealed to the public representatives to participate and support the officials and staff to make the vaccination programme a success.
ITDA Project Officer P Goutham, Additional Collector Snehalatha Mogili, Corporation Commissioner Anurag Jayanthi, Trainee Collector Varun Reddy, ZP CEO Priyanka, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Malathi, district immunisation officer Dr Alivelu, DSO Dr Kotiratnam and programme officers have attended the meeting.
