Khammam: Support Jayasarathi Reddy in MLC polls, CPM, CPI appeals
Khammam: State secretaries of CPI and CPM Chada Venkat Reddy and Tammineni Veerabhadram appealed to the graduates to support the Left-wing candidate in Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal Graduates MLC constituency election.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, they said in order to represent the voice of common people in the State Legislature, graduates have to support Jayasarathi Reddy, who was supported by CPI and CPM, in the MLC election. The Left leaders have alleged that the State and Central governments have become indifferent towards the problems of common public, hence the public should support candidates, who work for the welfare of the public.
Venkat Reddy noted that the anti-farmer policies and faulty economic policies of the BJP government at the Centre have caused great damage to the country. The Modi government was working only for the welfare of the corporate forces, he added. Reforms in the power and agriculture sectors were totally anti-farmer and would severely affect the farming sector. In addition to that the BJP government was also diluting Labour Laws through various amendments, he complained.
Veerabhadram alleged that the ruling parties at the Centre and in the State have failed to create employment opportunities for youth. As a result, serious dissent was brewing among the unemployed youth in the country, he added.
Jayasarathi Reddy said the Left parties' activists were actively working for the enrolment of the voters. As many as 5.7 lakh graduates have enrolled themselves as voters, he said while appealing to the voters to support him in the election.
