Khammam: Training programme for electoral officials held
Khammam: District Collector VP Gautham conducted a training programme for officials a part of the preparations for the Assembly polls to be conducted later in the year.
The training programme was conducted for AEOs and CCLA data entry operators on election control room and webcasting supervision at the DPRC conference hall on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that since the election process is crucial, they are training officials so that no mistakes happen at any stage.
He said that even if there is 99 per cent success in the election, there will be no praise, and if there is a 1 per cent mistake, it will affect the entire election process.
He said that all arrangements are being made to conduct elections in a free environment and in full transparency.
He said that there are 1,459 polling stations in the district and the number may increase slightly.
He said that webcasting will be done in 50 per cent polling centres as per the Election Commission’s directives. In this direction, arrangements are being made for webcasting in 750 polling centres in the district, he said. He said that the process of webcasting will be supervised by the Returning Officer, the District Election Officer, the Chief Election Officer of the State and the Central Election Commission.
The Collector said that the polling day is very important, be careful and take all the steps regarding webcasting in the polling centre as per the rules and the election duties should not be taken lightly at any stage.
CPO Srinivas, District Employment Officer Sriram, Agriculture Department Assistant Director of Sarita and other officials participated in this programme.
